Humpty Dumpty didn't fall off the wall and he wasn't exactly an egg. He was a man pushed beyond the edge by the same people who say they want to put him back together. The reason all the king's horses and men couldn't put him back together again is because they weren't doing it for Humpty and also because Humpty wasn't so willing in the situation. They weren't considering Mr. Dumpty's feelings after he fell because he didn't matter to them in that way. Did he want to be put back together and if he did, should he trust the King's henchmen to do the job? Would they re-construct him as he wanted and did they know what they were doing in the first place?
It was a good thing that Humpty decided to lose his shell. He was probably tired of the world and its packaged systems of beliefs. He wanted to peel back the layers of protective covering that have been built up over the years and find out what they've been hiding. It was time to catch a glimpse of something he's never known: Himself.
There's nothing wrong with cracking the shell of self-concept to reveal whatever might exist inside. All the king's horses and men will be against your decision but it's better than the alternative.
