This was a while back in Nov 06. Had an assignment where I had to assist in preparing presentations for a group of photographers who went for a workshop in Siem Reap, Cambodia. It was an eye opening experience for me during my stay there, especially when traveling around the town and communicating with people from around the world.
25th Nov 2006 - arrival day
Boarded on AirAsia flight to Siem Reap
and arrived at 12pm Cambodia time. Had a good time riding around town
in Siem Reap on a tuktuk. Had lunch and met some top photographers
worldwide from the workshop that I was suppose to work on. Really
great inspiration looking at their photos, they really gave their heart
and was so dedicated in their job. It's the opening day of the whole
Angkor Wat Photo Festival on that night too. Serious work starts the next day.

I'm on my way...
Talking about tuk tuk ride. I never thought it would be so much fun, seriously. Alright it was my 1st time and I liked it very much. I don't really bargain for the price as when I reach I'll automatically hand them USD1 for my ride. That's what I was told to pay for my journey and they reluctantly accept it. There's one who asked for USD2 but when we refused and insist on giving USD1 he turned away and just went off. You see, it's not that we don't wanna pay, he just refuse to take even USD1. I was stunned for a bit. haha!
26th Nov 2006 - serious work day
Went
to the workshop early in the morning. Nothing much yet as students
don't really give a damn on the datelines til the very last minute. Had
to work on 20 slideshows in 2 days, had 4 slideshows done on Sunday and
another 16 to be done on Monday itself. Hectic and stress.
27th Nov 2006 - it's show time and super nervous plus was awed by the beautiful Angkor Wat
Woke
up early in the morning at 4am to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Went
around to look see at the structure and carving of it.

It
was show time on that night and still working from morning til last
minute at night. Got everything together and render it to movie.
Students wasn't happy with the movie quality and another round of
unnecessary stress and worry. We have no time at all for another round
of rendering, so we decided to just go with it and the results? The
projection of the movie was way too good. Was surprise with the quality
of it in terms of pixels, colors and contrast. The great part
was I get to know a lot of other people from the region and worldwide. It
was such a great experience and it was a great show that night. In the
end everyone was thanking everyone for their good job done. Shit at
first, but we ended up with a happy and fruitful ending.
28th Nov 2006 - returning day
Returning on this date in the morning and reach KL at around 3pm.
By the way, this is the hotel that I stayed in, the whole room all by myself
