Vincent Chui, Graduated from Loyola Marymount University, LA. Chui started his career at TVB and since 1990, has been active in independent films. He is one of the founders of Ying E Chi. His works includes Long Distance (co-dir),Betrayal, As Time Goes By(co-dir) and Leaving in Sorrow. Fear of Intimacy is his second feature.

Kwok Wai-lun is an independent film director whose works include the feature films In the Dumps and And So and So. His latest film Darkness Bride is invited to Pusan International Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival.

Adam Sau-ping Wong was born in Hong Kong in 75. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 98. In 96 as an exchange student he went to the University of Iowa in US and started making short films and videos. Fish (97), Ah Wai & Murphy (99) and Glowing (00) were awarded in the Hong Kong Independent Short Film and Video Awards where Glowing got the best scrīpt, gold award and grand prize. It was also the Best Independent Short Film in the 7th Golden Bauhinia Awards. Adam has taught in children drawing class for several years and also participated in several video and installation exhibitions. In recent years he has directed the making-of for Three, Golden Chicken and 1:99shorts.
When Beckham Met Owen is his directorial debut feature.

Charlie Lam is a graduate of the Academy for Performing Arts and noted cinematographer whose credits include Tai Tai, which competed in the Cannes International Film Festival 2002. He was the cinematographer for the student film Crossing, which won Kodak Vision Award 2001, the Kodak The National Award 2002, and the Kodak the Competition Regional Award Top Award Top Honors 2002. Charlie is one of the most prominent cinematographer in Hong Kong new cinema. His other credits include Butterfly, Jiang-Hu, Night Corridor and Fear of Intimacy.

Lawrence Wong is an independent film director whose feature-length film Cross Harbour Tunnel was officially selected at the Berlin International Film Festival, Rotterdam International Festival, Vancouver International Film Festival etc.

Amos Why is an independent filmmaker. His works include RTHK projects such as ¡§Dream Team¡¨ and ¡§Little Manila¡¨. He is now attending a M.Sc degree of Multi-media & Entertainment Technology in the HK Polytechnic University.

Nose Chan began making video in 1998, and regularly screens his work locally and abroad. In 2000, his work Well won the Distinguished Award in The 6th Hong Kong Independent short Film and Video Award. In 2003, he participated in the 1st Berlinale Talent Campus in The Berlin International film Festival. Chan also participates in many independent film productions.

Ying E Chi is a non-profit organization formed in 1997 by a group of independent filmmakers. Its mission is to unite local independent filmmakers, as well as the promotion and distribution of Hong Kong Independent films. It has been financially assisted by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council since its inception, and is now an HKADC One-Year-Grant recipient.

Ying E Chi's members believe that independent films, by emphasizing the creativity of filmmakers rather than commercial elements, is conducive to producing creative, innovative cinema of a high artistic value that audiences can appreciate.

Since its inception, Ying E Chi had held hundreds of screenings at various venues in Hong Kong including art house cinemas, art centers, city halls, colleges and universities. It had also released a very popular HK Indie film series on VCD and DVD.

The films represented by Ying E Chi have also been regularly featured in the Hong Kong International Film Festival and have won many prizes at the Hong Kong Independent Film and Video Awards. Every year we hold a Hong Kong Independent Film Festival that showcases the best of Hong Kong independent films produced in the past year.

In additional to theatrical release, Ying E Chi also works with governmental agencies, film organizations, local arts group and schools to widen the audience base in Hong Kong for local independent films.

Ying E Chi has also been active in promoting independent films abroad. This is mainly through various international film festivals and film markets around the world, in which these films received extensive audience acclaim and have won numerous international awards. They have also been acquired for television broadcast throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and North America.
