'Lust, Caution' passes 'Protege' to become 2007's #1 Chinese Film in HK

Ang Lee's erotic 'Lust, Caution'  may only be viewable by people 18 and over in Hong Kong, but that hasn't stopped it from breaking the box office records.  In 19 days since its release it has taken in over HK$30 million (~US$3.9 million) from HK theaters.  This weekend's total allows it to pass 'Protege' (Andy Lau and Daniel Wu crime drama) as the number one Chinese language film at the HK box office for 2007.  The film has also taken in almost US$6.5 million in Taiwan and US$1.2 million in the US despite a very limited release.
