• Methamphibian, Playing Cards, and Premium Denim

  We all know that Peter Kim (Methamphibian) is one of the most talented artists out there today.  It was a privilege to have him design our first time ever playing cards.  He designed each suit with a different artwork.  This is a collectors item for sure and not your average playing cards you can get at 7-11!

  Made of thermo-like plastic materials that are virtually tear-proof (I just tried it right now) and washable.,
  These limited playing cards are included when you purchase METH 2 (Methamphibian x Know1edge collabo jeans).  This is our second project doing denim together with Peter and I think it's his best yet.  
  This time, the cut of the jeans is way skinnier.  The collabo tee-shirts will be out soon as well.
  
  
  
  
  
  Know1edge F/W 2008 Jeans:
  It's hard writing about your own brand...ummm...but, I'll try.
  Here are the latest starting with the Meth2 Jeans.
  All are available at 8five2.com and retailers around the world.
  Since our launch in 2004, we've been putting an emphasis on producing premium denim while concentrating on style and fit.  If you've worn our jeans, you'll know this.  
  These are the "Meth2" showcasing patch embroidery on the actual denim and Methamphibians logo on the left back pocket.
  The fit:  slim fit!
  Colorways: black washed and gray washed 
  

  The "Lui Araki" These 100% Cotton pants were named after our good friend and Japanese ill skateboarder.

  Detailing: snap pockets in front to keep everything in place while Lui Skates with pique cotton unexpected lining.

  The fit: loose fit to make sure you have extra leg room while you're flipping your board.

  Colorways: Black and Olive

  

  The "Dao Yi" named after Mr. Dior-Homme-Dao Yi himself.

  Detailing: Made from slightly coated black wax.  This denim with special pressed pleat detailing on the pockets can take you from the clubs and straight through to breakfast in bed served by the girl you met the night before while you're trying to figure out what her name is before she notices.

  The fit: Relaxed at the thigh, slimmer at the bottom.

  "Anika" named after Jon (Vans) wife because we had already named something Jon and "Anika" was just a dope name! 

  Detailing: 100% cotton woven with pique cotton jersey pipe contrasting accents on the pockets

  The Fit: Slightly relaxed at the thigh, slimmer at the bottom

  "Wing tip" Selvage denim jeans:  are one of my own personal favorites.  I could have wing tip on anything...as you've seen from our belts, hats, etc...It's just one of them things you never get sick of or at least in my case.

  Detailing: leather wing tip of course!

  The fit: Slightly relaxed at the thigh, slimmer at the bottom

  Colorways: indigo unwashed selvage

  

  "Michael"

  Detailing: back pocket extra zipper and logo embroidery.

  The fit: Slightly relaxed at the thigh, slimmer at the bottom

  Colorway: indigo washed and black washed

  

  The "Piper2" is another one of my favorites. The original "Piper" was so popular we brought it back with a special twist... 

  Detailing: The back pocket is actually sewn down with a contrast denim color on the reverse side. It's hard to tell from the pictures but, it's SICK SICK SICK! 

  The fit: Slightly relaxed at the thigh, slimmer at the bottom (why change it up when it's this good)

  "Stefan" Named after the infamous Habitat Skateboarder Stefan Janoski; A good friend and an amazing skateboarder who can make you laugh for days!

  Detailing: Special hidden pockets, asymmetrical sewing line across the back, and a special pocket detailing in the front. An exceptional good-looking washed denim where people will think you'd been working on it for years

  The fit: Slightly relaxed at the thigh, slimmer at the bottom

  Colorways: Indigo washed and black washed
