Asian pics make Berlin youth draw

Two Asian films are among the first pictures selected to join the Berlin festival's youth sections, Generations Kplus and 14plus. Ning Jingwu-helmed "Lala's Gun" (Lala de qiang) from China will get its world premiere in Berlin while Cheng Hsiao-Tse's "Miao Miao" from Hong Kong and Taiwan will also screen. Previously announced, Chen Kaige's "Mei Lan Fang" (aka Forever Enthralled) is set to appear in the fest's main competition. Complete selection for all sections will be announced in early January.
