Leon Lai picked for Mei Lanfang biopic

Leon Lai has been chosen to play the lead part in Chen Kaige's upcoming bio film about Mei Lanfang, one of the most famous masters of Peking Opera. Chen's best known film is 1993's "Farewell My Concubine" starring the late Leslie Cheung. Leon Lai is tapped to play the title role of Mei opposite Zhang Ziyi.
