Mainland Movies Failing to Connect?

The results of an interesting survey of Beijing resident's movie going habits has been published. According to the survey, the average resident sees less than one movie a year, compared to 5 per year in the USA. Also of note is the fact that of the 330 films produced in China last year, 25% of the box office income came from only two films: Feng Xiaogang's 'the Banquet' and Zhang Yimou's 'Curse of the Golden Flower'.
