Zhang Ziyi Becomes Olympic Reporter

Chinese film star Zhang Ziyi arrives in Athens last Saturday as an honorable guest and special reporter at the 2008 Olympic Games.  Invited by the Greek Olympic Committee, the Beijing-born actress will attend the torch lighting ceremony for the Beijing Olympics in Athens as well as the handover ceremony.

Zhang also will work as one of the journalists of the 2008 Games' official website, covering the Greek section of the torch relay from March 24-30 in 43 cities in Europe. "As a Beijing native, I'm expecting the great event as eagerly as everybody else," Zhang wrote in her blog, "I'm proud of my country and feel honored about the mission." Zhang said her news reports will examine Greek culture and the Greek people.
