Bring Back Those Haydays!

I still remembered the first time I told my good friend X(lets just name him/her that) that I want to come to HK to work...X's reaction was shocked and kept asking me if i was very sure. Reason being X had been working all over Asia, particularly in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
So I spoke to X today and X mentioned a very good point that "haydays(of recording artistes) are indeed over, we are not longer treated as well as before, not even the biggest stars. Where is the glam, the divadom?" X quoted. "Stars these days do not really have star quality", to put it bluntly, its like everything is so 'cheap'.
I couldnt agree more....its so true. Where can one find the Leslie Cheung, the Anita Mui, the Faye Wong, the Maggie Cheung, the Rosmund Kwan,....these days?
Thus new artistes these days have to work extra, extra hard, to train themselves to excel in different aspects and areas of their field. And not to mention smart and efficient marketing by their companies. It's really not easy being artistes these days.......
How many singers can sing live with just 1 take? How many singers can even sing live without much technical enhancements? Not many.....
I am always a fan of talented, artistic, skillful creatives.....I am glad that AnD is set up for this reason. I hope in the near future, I can have more opportunities to interact and mingle with creative people from different field, to further inspire and motive me in my work.
