Hong Kong! Hong Kong!

Had been staying in Hong Kong for 4 days, I could feel the time’s turning. This is my first time to touch my dream city.
When I was a child, I liked TV series made by TVB and HK movies very much, even some of them seem very stupid today, I liked to learn Cantonese as well. Hong Kong is really very beautiful city, it’s a paradise for shopping and amusing, unfortunately, I don’t like shopping at all.
In HK, in each large shopping mall, we can see the world’s famous brands everywhere! Nowadays, the word “fashion” becomes more and more popular in Chinese young people, they are always talking about the new collection, next season; if there is one—which I take leave to doubt, Fashion is a game between the riches and the world’s top designers, for a normal, to create his or her own style is much better to follow the so-called “La Mode”. But I do like a watch of Bvlgari, it costs 30,000 HK$, too expensive, isn’t it?
Hong Kong has been a part of China since 1997, what has happening during these ten years., maybe there are some advantages for its economic development, and another truth is the lost of its press transparence. However, this is a society under the rule of law, that’s the most different part from Shanghai. To catch up with Hong Kong, Shanghai needs 100 years at least, high buildings can’t approve a city’s development, and the most important is the social system and the citizen’s quality. Local people in HK are polite and qualified but a little bit callous, in the metro or on the train, only a few of them give their seats to the old people and pregnant women, this will never happen in Shenzhen.
From the Victoria Harbour, we can see a lot of modern buildings, they give this city a special temperature, but I don’t like the building of Bank of China designed by Ieoh Ming Pei. In fact, I don’t like his works, including the “Pyramid” in Louvre, it is quite unharmonious, and well satirized the fate of the treasures from Egypt which are sleeping sliently in the musée du Louvre. In my opinion, the architecture of Rome is always the greatest, and it will remain immortally in human’s history, all the buildings there, both the visible sense and physiological comfort were taken into account by the great masters.
Last night, I went to Lan Kwai Fong with two friends, we drank some beer in a small pub which has a live band, very wonderful. When I was living in Aix-en-provence, I went to the pub frequently, then I came back, everything has been changed!
A small summary: Hong Kong is a lively and dynamic city, a short stay here is enough to cheer me up.
