Sorry in the last blog, I spelled Geisha wrongly (thks a_a_mio) .  There is the street w/ lots of high-class, expensive  restaurants, and you can ask Geisha藝妓 to have dinner with you; like the movie "The memory of Geisha", I think they can sing/ dance/ play instruments/ just chat w/ you, but you need to pay a very high price for them.  We got there too early, so we only  met one on the street, but we didn't take pic cos I think it's impolite to take a pic.  I asked my E has he been to that kind of restaurant before, he said he's "not in that level yet", only rich boss/ people w/ power will go to dinner and ask for Geisha.

There is a famous cosmetic/ skin care shop in Kyoto, called よ一じ (pls. see the pic, I may type it wrong)  , I think the famous product is "oil blotting paper".   A few years ago, my E's friend's Japanese wife gave me the oil blotting paper as gift; honestly speaking, I felt quite unhappy at that time, did she think I have poor skin, and normally, the paper is not an expensive item.  But when I watched TV one day introducing Japan and they talked about this brand, only then I know it's so famous, and it used to be specially for Geisha to use.  See the logo is the face of Geisha too.  Of course I felt so rude to think this Japanese friend gave me a cheap gift.  I'm sorry about that. 

These are the things I bought - the oil blotting paper, and the small pack is lips blotting paper, and the small mirror is for Amelie.  The whole package costs 920yen.
