921 earthquake, Taiwan

Yuannan, China just got a 6.4 earthquake, I feel so sorry for them and I can feel their fear as well, cos in Taiwan, there's a 6.4 earthquake as well on Sept., 21, 1999; and I was in Taipei at that time.

That night, my husband went to bed earlier than me, cos I have a report needed to be typed.  So I was in the living room all by myself, using my laptop.  Suddenly, the electric was gone, then came the earthquake, I escaped under my coffee table quickly; that's the biggest earthquake I've ever faced.  "Oh, my God", I said to myseif, "I'm going to die alone in the living room without seeing Eric, my Mom and my brother one last time!"  I was so scared, after I heard the sound of the broken glasses.  Then, Eric woke up and asked me to go the bedroom quickly, and I yelled back "Don't move, there's broken glasses everywhere".  The earthquake lasted for a few minutes only, but that's the first time I think I'm going to die.

Of course, we survived, but there's a week after that I felt I was "swinging" all the time, cos there's lots of mini-size earthquakes afterward.  From 921 earthquake, I know who're the most important people in my life.
