Boy/ girl?

Do you want to have a boy/ a girl?

Well, my E wants to have a baby girl, cos he has 2 brothers, and he thinks you can spoil your girl, but if you have a boy, you must educate him well.  He said girl can stay in home, even if she won't earn money; but if your son stay at home and not going out to earn money, that's strange.

I chatted with my Chinese maid yesterday regarding this topic, cos my E's parents moved to his brother's home to take care of the idential twin boys.  I said they love boys, cos when I have Amelie, they didn't even go to the hospital to visit me, and they are not really interested in her.  But now they have the twin grandsons, they "flied" all the way from Taiwan to here. 

Then, my maid said in China, that's the same problem as well.  Her cousin has an identical twin girls, she put them in the pig barn on the first day when they were born to see if they would die; luckily they survived, and so she kept them.  Her other cousin has killed 4 baby girls.  She said it's very common in the villages.  This is the most horrible and pathetic story I heard.
