Sadly my poker skills, or maybe even my poker luck has changed dramatically. The tables turned last night, the first round especially. I've got a good memory for these kind of things so don't think I'm a total dork - well, I am.
Anyway it was the regular group and its starting to work itself out. One memorable round was from unknown player 1, three 5's on the table with unknown player 2 and Jason in his wake. To the showdown, Tobin lays out 2 pair, player 2 with higher 2 pair and sneaky player 1 'oh who has the 5' lays down the last five to make it four 5's. Read it FOUR 5's! What is this guy, an actor?!!? Well is he?
Stephan had a Ace-3 or something one hand, saw another Ace on the flop and on the turn but dumped. And unfortunately didn't play for the river which was, ahhhh, an Ace. We're good poker player aren't we.
But ultimately player 2 had the luck of the Irish - I think he had as many as 5 three-of-a-kinds than night. And he took an awfully stubborn Raffi at the heads-up in the second buy-in.
Me, I got iced. player 2 returned the favor to me by taking me in my failed 'all-in' of course with a triple. I got unlucky a couple of times with high pairs on the board but low kickers. Ah, the humanity. Its all good it came out of the per diem.
On Work
I've finished a couple of portraits so far, well 2, Kim and Jason's. Jason I still have to do a couple more, that one we did with the dog is good but doesn't merit a series. Will catch him before he leaves. Kim's is up on my website www.bertonchangphoto.com. Its under the recently added tab. I've also added some other new work including the ones that have kept me from writing blogs. There something like 3 or 4.
Videos of the day
Previously i've been unable to embed videos but, of all people, el Boon taught me casting a large triangular shadow over the keyboard (and if you haven't met him girls, he's like huge, has lead pipes for arms, and funnily enough is shaped like a triangle. oh and pecs - they're huge!).
This first video is new new. its stupid to get you warmed up

My work is documentary in essence. My goal is to explore. Its easy to take a picture but its difficult to make a really good picture.
I like taking pictures. I like to read. A good movie is hard to find these days. Don't you really hate this humid weather....yuck!
