a morning moment :)

i was praying this morning on my drive to work. driving is when I get a lot of my prayer time in i guess. I admit i very often forget before meals. the moments before sleep are even worse, I almost always fall asleep a few minutes into it.

this particular morning, I was feeling more anxious than usual about life in general and what the future may bring. i was praying about Proverbs 3:5 (trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will set your paths straight). i'm one of those worry worts sometimes, I always need to ask God for reminders. btw, i had to look up which chapter/verse that was just now, my memory is so terrible.

anyways, as i poured my heart out and passed the Page Mill exit on 280, I saw the most beautiful rainbow on the right hand side of the road--above a large green pasture, in front of white fluffy clouds. i felt a little bit calmer, my face began to smile. then on the lane right next to me, about 10 feet in front was this big white 2-part tractor. It was kicking up lots of fresh rain and because it had such big and wide tires, it was making its own little mini rainbow, right there in front of me. the rainbow was more colorful, more sparkly than the big one I had admired just moments before. watching the baby rainbow, my happiness level was climbing up even higher. I switched over to the exit lane, was now right behind the tractor, and then had one of those awesome moments. Right above the license plate was this huge metal sign that said "RELIANCE" and on the right hand tire-flap was the logo "Reliance Tractors." I was like WHAT? not possible. And then i thought, heh how cool, it's probably going to exit and turn right, towards the construction of the new hotel at the 280 exit. while I usually turn that way, this morning I had to go the opposite direction for a chiro appointment. anyways as we were both exiting, in a lapse of memory i got in my normal exit lane again, and then saw the tractor going the other way, and then realizing last minute SHOOT i have to go that way too, switched back out to follow it some more.

and while this little story may seem like random rambling, i thought it was pretty cool~
