Well, ok so maybe not actually a member of my family but when I saw this little guy I couldn't pass him up!
I was on my way to lunch and had to stop by the Hallmark store to pick up a card for a co-worker.
Between the Hallmark store and the restaurant there just happens to be a Tuesday Mornings store. This is a nifty little store where you can find all kinds of stuff, from dog bowls to luggage, from sheets to garden gnomes- they have all kinds of junk crammed in this little shop!
As I walked from the car to the Hallmark store I saw him in the window. I went on to try to find just the right card for the occasion. I hate buying cards. It takes me forever! Once I finally found just the right card, paid and was heading out- my friend called and was already at the restaurant, wondering where I was. This meant no time stop at Tuesday Morning....
I went and enjoyed my lunch and the company of my friends, still thinking of him back there in the window. I knew I didn't have too much time left before I had to be back at work and on a conference call-ug.
We finished lunch, said our good-byes and I headed back to the store!

He was still standing there waiting for me.
So I got to come home with my own little Terracotta Soldier.

Maybe someone can tell me what this says along the bottom...

and this... looks like sequential marking or something?

yes. something like it . it just like a tag for the place of origin.

for the first pic“中国临潼秦佣”

中国：China  Chinese

临潼：Lin Tong  （name of a place, an area of  Xi'an city, the terracotta Soldier museum was located at  there ）

秦佣：terracotta Soldier

For the second pic“博物馆A”

博物馆：museum

the full meaning is tell u where is this terracotta Soldier replica come from.

the meaning is：

A：this terracotta Soldier come from “china lin tong terracotta Soldier museum A ”

B： copy  original form that one terracotta Soldier in “china lin tong terracotta Soldier museum  A”

if it was made in china then i think it was the answer A，if not then maybe  B ^^

any more questions? hehe .look .i am good at chinese haha！

I'm in the process of adding onto my house - I'm getting a new bedroom! He will live with me in my new room. (and in my room now)

I paid about 1/3 of the retail. :)

haha. Nice. Where are you going to put it?

Mr. Peachey went to Xi'an a couple of years ago and saw the real deal. There were tons of vendors selling all shapes and sizes of these warriors. He didn't dare buy any to bring back home. Superstition.

Did you see Amazing Race when the racers had to find their detour (or whatever) at the terra cotta exhibit? A few seasons back.

Nice addition. Was it a steal? Plus you get eternal protection in the after-life, that is unless your grave becomes a tourist attraction. lol
