    上周在我的高中母校Head Royce作了個演講。我的英語和日語文學老師Barry Barankin從參加舊金山國際亞裔電影節的人群中發現了我，並邀請我到學校談談心路歷程。能見到舊日的老師真是很開心(我92年畢業)，他們跟以前一樣還在鼓勵學生，樣子一點也沒變。座談很有趣，學生們也提了很多很棒的問題。現在有更多亞洲學生，還有一些學生學習武術。我在高中時代可是唯一一個會武術的學生!
    從左邊：Jeff Key我的藝術老師、Johnny Wang我同學兼好友、我媽媽、我和Barry Barakin。1990年，Jeff和Barry帶著我和幾個學生到日本參加一個暑期班。那是我第一次到日本，我很愛那次旅程，這可能是我回到大學繼續學習的原因，我也很多次回到那兒。拍攝《新宿事件》時，我還忍不住回想起18年前的美好時光! 這世上最重要的人是老師，他們對我的一生影響真的很深。

    新宿事件那么早就拍了！我才在这个暑假的时候看！看来一部电影的诞生不简单！演员很辛苦～传统与最现代的结合…

    Congrats to be invited to give a talk in your high school!
    It is a fact that cannot be denied, teachers have influenced a lot  in my life !

    哈哈我来报道啦~~~看来今天是来晚了!
    回到母校肯定是感觉很亲切很好啦,而且现在回去是否多少有那么点成就感呢?我的意思是引以自己的母校为荣啊!记得我高中学校的格言就有这么一句"今日我以宣中为荣,明日宣中以我为荣!"

    So you have a nice memory of your high school time, and so do I. The friends you made then are true friends and your friendship can be life long.

    You must've been a real treat to the students. I remember back in  high school the teachers would invite old graduates back to speak to us about how they got to where they are today every semester to motivate us. Class of '92? I was in the 3rd grade.

    Their labour were not in vain to produce a student like you.  Well, you can still inspire and influence positively even if you are not a teacher.

    It's great that you did this. I think it help kids see dreams as a tangible thing for them, that aspirations/inspiration can lead to great things! And for teachers to be proud of themselves, a sort of validation for the hard work they do everyday.
