    星期二和朋友Neil Leifer一起去晚餐，他是當代著名的新聞攝影師。這張是讓他聲名大噪的阿裏擊倒索尼•利斯頓的照片，阿裏的大部分經典照片都出自他之手。



    從阿裏的兩腿之間，可以看到另一側圍欄外面，當時的《體育畫報》老攝影師臉上沮喪的表情。他站錯了位置，錯過了拳擊史上最重要的一擊。Neil拍到這副照片，成為《體育畫報》的當家攝影師。


    在他公寓裏欣賞了其他著名攝影師的許多經典作品後，他女友Randy和我們一起去吃意大利菜。

     

     這是我見過最大塊的Veal Parmesan（巴馬幹酪小牛肉）。如果想擁有阿裏親筆簽名的作品，可以到Neil的網站看看。我自己拿到兩張簽名照片。

    I'll eat beef but never ever will I eat veal.  I use to commute to work (over 10 years going this route) past a place that raised veal.  It was tragic how they chained the young cows so they couldn't move and then kept them in their own individual little plastic huts (so small they couldn't stand upright).  It was sad, cruel and pathetic.  I always wondered how people in the US could get away with raising veal in this fashion without being shut down by the Humane Society.
