• On Dreams

  So the dream conversation i had in Beijing now has me thinking all the time about dreams.  Well not all the time, but occasionally.  Have been reading Freud's "On Dreams," if only because it is short and may have inspire me a bit without requiring too much committment, as time is something i have very little of these few days...  I love the idea that dreams are important to Freud (well for many reasons but...) due to the fact fact that "the transformation of the latent dream thoughts into the manifest dream content ... is the first instance known to us of psychical material being changed over from one omde of expression to another."  Speaking of dreams i think i had one about being stuck in / back to school last night.  How obvious is that?  Driving down Storrow Drive i realized that i hope never to have to live here again...
