First let me say that the weather has been beautiful. I am so affected by my environment and seeing some sunshine makes me smile. It's been an extremely busy couple of days here in BJ, between seeing Huang and having a little party at the loft yesterday, and seeing all my designers today. Again, let me say how MUCH i LOVE Lin ZhiZhi. The funnest group of people came together yesterday quite serendipitously - a crazy group of design people, an art person or two, some world travellers? I love just inviting everyone over because you never know who might show up. Luckily, I've always had a couple of friends with similar interests around, however different everyone is, so people manage to chat. I am possibly trying now to make a short film? Well perhaps, but perhaps not. We will see. I love random opportunities to do things that i would never otherwise do... Especially if there are great people involved. Well lets see how far i get on this treatment. I hate the idea of doing something too conceptual but i'm a pretty esoteric person supposedly... The theme is dreams and my idea is that when you dream, you have to relinquish all control over to the dream... But, at the same time, filmmaking is all about control... Aren't all creative endeavours, actually? But Beijing is FANTASTIC with only half the cars on the street, even with the olympic lanes already in place. And the Olympic Cheer / Clap is BEYOND COOL. I will be teaching everyone in my box how to do it!! Apart from that, Sanlitun is looking shiny and new, Apple clocked in over 6000 people at their store opening yesterday, and its been raining, raining, raining... Off to NYC tomorrow...
