Hong Kong film shooting

Hi Guys,

Its been a couple years almost since I've been on... Wife and I had a baby... and things are finally settling down! :)

So I am in the process of getting a lower budget film together, and a good chunk of it I want to shoot in Hong Kong... I wanted to see if there were people out there in HK interested in acting and helping crew the film? Best case would be shooting in HK in October or November... I have the new Black Magic Cinema camera too that we'd be shooting with.

Anyone interested?? Drop me a line! It would be great to connect and meet you online. :)

The Other Life - Kickstarter Project

Hey everyone!!

I just wanted to let you all know about a new project that I am working on. Its called THE OTHER LIFE. Its a drama about a man who regrets letting "the love of his life" get away, and he gets to see what his life would have been had he stayed with her. It's a kind of darker "It's a Wonderful Life", but illustrates both the good and bad influences we have on people.

We have some great actors attached, and Alivenodead's own Marsha Yuan is starring in it!!! So please check out the link, and support this film if you can!! We will be shooting in both the US and Hong Kong.

5th Wedding Anniversary

Its hard to believe it's been 5 years already!! On our honeymoon we stayed at a resort in Puerto Vallarta, so to build on that we decided to take a cruise to Mexico. It was a wonderful 7 day cruise to Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas.

I have to say this time around Cabo was my FAVORITE... I wish we could have spent a day or two there just to have fun... There was lots of beaches, and water sports we could have done... but we only had about 5 hours off the ship. :( (NEXT TIME)... :)

Anyways... here are some of our pics. **SPOILER ALERT: There is a good chance I will be coming to Hong Kong SOON for a new film project... I will let you know as things continue to develop**

Parents 50th!!

So this weekend is my parents 50th Anniversary!! Its kinda crazy how the time flies... When you're a kid you don't think about these things... but I think my earliest memories of their anniversary (and understanding it's significance) was like when they celebrated their 20th... So that realization that its been 30 years since that for me kinda messes ya up (if you're keeping track of the years). 1980!!!

ha-ha...

But it's a big event... 1 in 2 marriages here in the US now end in divorce... so to go 50 years is something. American culture has become so focused on self gratification to the point that the beauty of love and commitment (yes even through bad times) gets lost. So congrats Mom & Dad on 50 great years and being great role models! :)

From the subject line, you may think this is about something else... haha...
I just submitted my film Office Politics to Sundance... My hopes are high... the film did turn out well. Already planning the next film... Then again its a year later...
2010 has been a year of some changes and self reflection too...
I left Warner Brothers in July to really focus on my craft and some new business ventures. I felt God saying, "That place was toxic... LEAVE!!" Since I was used to being there 12 hours a day... and thinking about titles I was delivering to iTunes and SONY in my sleep... I happily agreed to leave despite the uncertainty. It was a leap of faith for sure.
But it allowed me to have some time for self reflection. I am feeling recharged again... :)
EAGERLY wanting to come to HK again (been a year already!)...
Stay tuned...
Hopefully I can post some of the film soon... Maybe a clip or something. I think SAG rules forbid it though... Need to be careful. Grrrr... :)

I am an Actor/Director/Producer with a passion for Asian cinema. Out of High School, I focused on acting, and had the opportunity to be in television shows like Beverly Hills 90210, Quantum Leap, and ER. It allowed me to get my SAG card, but I learned pretty quickly that I wanted to be behind the camera. So I returned to school, and received a Bachelors degree in Film from The University of California, Irvine. My focus was on Screenwriting and Production. In 2004 I had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong for the first time, and it was love at first sight... If I go more than 6 months without being there, I REALLY miss it. If I believed in past lives, I would think I must have been Chinese in a previous life. :)
