I PASSED!

I'm excited, happy, relieved..  that I passed my Nationals testing.  I am officially a licensed massage therapist. 

I wonder if people know what we have to study just to become licensed.  Anatomy and physiology just to get the basic knowledge of the body.  Business classes to learn about starting your own business, communication class.  Plus I am going for the associates degree which includes:

Advanced Physiology, Pathology, Orthopedics, Advanced Anatomy, Biochemical Nutrition, Nervous/Neuromuscular System..

Also, Basic massage(swedish), Craniosacral Therapy, Sports Massage: Injury Care, Clinical Treatments: Neurological Pathology, Trigger Point, Anma/Shiatsu, TuiNa, Fascia, Tibetan Massage.

I try to lean more towards the eastern therapies because I'm more comfortable applying them rather than just a relaxation massage where you dont help anyone.  I love trying to help others who are in pain or have some kind of pathology thats challenging for me. 

My favorite is Tui Na class, I still ask my instructor questions on a weekly basis.  Hopefully this will push me towards learning TCM.  My dream of learning that will seem like it will complete me. 

As a Native American, I feel lucky to learn about the Chinese culture, I feel more at home when I am with Master Li or watching him teach or practice.  Its rare for others to actually watch him train.  I love it, most of the time it makes me cry because his movements are so beautiful and graceful.  When I went to China with him and a group of other people, I didnt want to leave.  ah..  this year I will be going back..  I know I am. 

I am glad I passed my test, it was quite confusing.
