Peace of Mind.. I think

Hello everyone, or who ever reads my so called life. 

Monday evening I had the chance to enjoy going to a free concert that a high school friend invited me to.  One of my all time favorites, Les Claypool.  I have listened to his music from Primus, to his side projects, The Frog Brigade, Oysterhead, now to Les Claypool.  My friend, George had asked me about a month ago and I thought he forgot so I didnt expect to go.  I actually thought it had passed since I was thinking more of school, studying.  Well, I got a text message on my phone from him Sunday night letting me know that he would pick me up at 7pm.  I did have a crazy weekend since my dad came back home from Las Vegas for the weekend.  Saturday my  Aunt came for a visit and spent the day with us.  We went to the mall, the record store and back home.  I was the driver for everyone, so we had to take my aunts jeep.  My sister, dad, aunt and I went to several locations but I offered to drive.  Well, we got home and she had to leave since she was meeting her daughter for dinner before she went back to the reservation.  My dad was hungry for dinner so we decided to pick up food at different locations.  My sister wanted vegan food so we had to travel 20 minutes to get it.  Well on our way home, the fan belt in the car broke and we were about 10 minutes away from home.  So, it was about 7pm in the evening here in Phoenix, AZ and the temp was 108 degrees.  Quite hot since earlier in the day it was 112 degrees.  Well, I called AAA and was told it would be an hour wait for the tow truck driver to get us.  I called my martial arts instructor and he picked up my sister and I and took us home.  I love my teacher since he went back and waited with my dad til the driver came to tow the car.  Well, while we were waiting, my sister and I had to go and pick up the rest of the dinner for my dad and I.  We left in my sisters car and when we were almost to the place, we got pulled over.  I was in aw since we were looked at as 'gang members'?  I dont understand, I think its because we live in a senior citizen community and you have to be 21 years old to live in the area but have to be 55 years old to own a home in the area.  Well my  sister was very polite to the cops they let us go with a warning.  I got off track here, but I was thinking that with this happening over the weekend, I didnt feel up to going to the concert.  I was thinking of more bad things happening.  Thinking of that dark cloud over my head, a sign pointing to me saying, here she is she is trouble.  I text back and said, I'll be waiting.  Well, it was a great move.  I really enjoyed myself.  We started off standing towards the back, but by the second to the last song, we had made our way one person away from the front!  I cant tell you how much I love seeing him play.  His dedication to his music, the sound.  The next day I had class and a test, I passed missing 2 questions. 

Wednesday I was still on my concert high so I got myself movitated to practice.  Planning out my week of practicing with some students with techniques.  I got thrown down 8 times while sparring with a friend.  On the 5th takedown, he kicked out my left leg and also kicked the inside of my right leg which made me fall on my side hurting my knee.  I heard a pop but no pain so kept on going.  So, by takedown #8 I was done.  We left, I went shopping at the store before going home.  I took a shower and had to ice my knee.  I could barely walk.  So, the next day I made it to school early since I didnt want my limited mobility to keep me from walking in late.  I was grateful since my teacher is a doctor, he looked at my knee and told me that I didnt do any major damage but to stay off of it for the weekend.  So, here I am Friday night, bored, I feel like jelly since I cant workout at the gym.  I cant do massages for practice since I cant get in my stances for pressure.  Ah.. I feel useless.  I feel alot better though, but I dont want to irritate it again.  I have a first aid/CPR class tomorrow all day so I hope I will be walking normal by the morning. 

Thats my week, nothing much, oh.. I did hear from an old Wushu friend who lives in Washington State.  It was nice talking with him.
