    Fantastic Dreamland

    Searching in the memory of childhood but after growing up, the exploring inside the heart has been melt into her soul and indicated in her articles as well as paintings like the echo from the deep bottom of the Fangxu's heart which is stable and pure. She is a female to be able to stay alone in still. From traditional Chinese' painting to oil painting, all the days and years shown on them come from her silent considering and seeking. Constantly she walks in the ancient gardens of Jiangnan, sits down besides the old stage on which gifted scholars and beautiful ladies even been shown, she just listens to Kunqu opera carefully. In her life, she is tender and comely with characteristic of water town. While in her painting, she steps into her own heart to take us to the fantastic dreamland made by her.

    Fangxu's series oil painting'Courtyard'shows us some special things in Jiangnan including the cold early spring like the dream is frozen and the visible green but some while it would be disappeared. In'Childhood Memory', clouds are splendid in the silent and cold sky like a red horse running in powerful energy which recalls the rainbow of childhood. The contrasts between brightness and darkness, Silence and vividness are obvious. And it is hard to speak any words for the silence of the genius in the dream. In her'Wall', there is a wall in the backlighting which seems lonely and motley. It is a corner under the sky. And the high wall in the old garden has the eaves lifting towards the sky. The disorderly clouds extend themselves like the flames. A horse flies up to the sky. All these things want to tell us, a heavy rain is coming. In her works'Taohuawu' series, the regional meanings are shown up. She successfully combined Jiangnan modern courtyard with Suzhou Local Arts which has over 350 years' history and finally she did paint out a brand-new scenery.(Yichao)
