• WORKING ON "BEAST STALKER 証人" AND "CONNECTED 保持通話" EXTRA FEATURES

  Last April, Hong Kong director Dante Lam 林超賢 and actor Nick Cheung 張家輝 were invited in Udine (Italy) at the 11^th Far East Film Festival, to present the last movie they made together, “Beast Stalker証人”, a very dark and touching crime drama, also starring Nicholas Tse 謝霆鋒, Zhang Jingchu 張靜初 and Liu Kai-chi 廖啟智.

  I was asked originally by the German distribution company Koch Media, to shoot and conduct interviews of Dante Lam and Nick Cheung interviews at the Far East Film, for their DVD of “Beast Stalker” and “Connected 保持通話” (a Hong Kong remake of David R. Ellis 2004 thriller “Cellular”, directed by Benny Chan 陳木勝 and also starring Nick Cheung).

  Finally, I’m also directing and editing the footage of Dante Lam and Nick Cheung at the Far East Film, which is better for me, because I prefer to conduct a project from the beginning to the end, instead of working on it partially.

  In Udine, I could have a nice 40-minute interview with Nick Cheung. Half of it will be used for “Connected” and the other half for “Beast Stalker” (each part will be around 13-15 minutes when edited).

  The interview that I had with Dante Lam in Udine was very short (10 minutes) so I’ll not use it. But I had actually, another big interview with him in Hong Kong a few weeks earlier (almost 90 minutes. Half about “The Sniper 神鎗手”, half about “Beast Stalker”). Thanks to AnD friend Patty Keung, who arranged everything. So I think I’ll make at least a 20-minute interview with Dante Lam about “Beast Stalker” when edited.

  The last extra I have to edit (I almost finished this one actually) is the funniest to do since it’s a compilation of the best moments with Dante Lam and Nick Cheung during the Far East Film. From the opening cocktail of the festival to the press meeting two days later, with in between, a panel discussion, the “Beast Stalker” screening presentation, the signature sessions, and other cool moments...
