Happy 2011~!
Happy Chinese New Year!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy so many things!
I am so late on posting & wishes :)
It has been an awesome 2010 and this year it's gonna be better!
I will update from the time I'm missing from AnD last May~~ Lol~~
First stop, I did a short education Ad for HPB and it was very well received. I am so glad to hear that and I can't wait to watch it myself!
Meanwhile here are some pictures~
This feels like an artistic indie film~~
My on screen mother whom I have to take extra care of so she will not injure herself unnecessarily at home.
I love working with Francis Lau, the director of this HPB project.
Hopefully this year, we will work again~
Alright I have to go, some planning to do for the next project.
More stuff in a few days!
*hugs everyone*
God bless! -
Writing & Directing

It's been a long time since I update my blog~~~
A lot of ground work this year and it has been a great experience learning all that I have been learning. I LOVE LEARNING!
Expanding knowledge and skills makes me happy and I believe it makes one more enriched and fearless. I support education at any point in life~~ I don't mean just going back to school... but any form of learning.
I got to know this friend when I was watching a play 2 years back... The way he educates himself intrigues me and I love how he would go all out to pursue where he needs to go... if money was the problem, he switched and used another method and ways to learn. He always wanted to be a film director but back then, he was just a teacher... I told him about my dilemma in education. I really wanna go study...but the cost is so great. I did not wanna fall into the trap of indebting myself with the bank. I am no slave to anyone and anything, and I will not give my freedom away to exchange for a need. There must be another way.
He found it and I love his humbling ways. Definitely the meek inherit the earth cos there is no pavement that is too lowly for him to travel...and learn he did...got to his dreams ~ he did. He wanted to learn more about making a film, so he volunteered to help a director to do - whatever. Holding the boom mike, setting up the lights - anything that he can get to learn - he did. And he made his intentions known as well that he wants to learn.
He took a break from teaching in Australia and enrolled into a short course to learn on film making. He manage his finances well, made really wise decisions and now, 2 years later, his film has gotten into festivals, another one will be out soon and all these despite of the common excuses that anyone can and will make so as to stop him/herself from achieving that dream.
Excuses:
I am not young like the rest
I do not have money
I do not have time
It is too hard
Why must I take this hard road and not other people
It is too troublesome
I don't know
What if...what if...what if...
This trainer/school/opportunity is not good enough for me, I am better than that
This trainer/school/opportunity is too good for me, maybe next time
I don't want to think about it now
Everyone has obstacles. I have them. My friend sure had them when he knew nothing about film making. He knocked on doors and asked and volunteers himself so he could learn - for free. He didn't care if the obstacle was money, he didn't care if he was learning from someone younger than him, he didn't care if he doesn't have the money to own the equipments yet, he was at step one and he was happy. It will eventually go on to step 2 as long as you don't give up.
I believe in the saying that when you really want it, nothing/nobody can stop you. The universe or I would say God will help you.
If you had fallen in love before, you would know - I can run ten thousand miles across fire & mountains and more if that is what it takes to get to the person.
Get to your dream. Learn in whatever ways you can. No one can stop you but you... but the pride, the insecurities, the uncertainties.... nothing is certain cos at any point of time, one can just drop dead.To fear on all that's tomorrow... you'd have died today. To live like you'd die tomorrow, what's there to fear today?
Discard the fear baggage. Hop on the dream boat and head on with the heart full of faith~~don't give up nor look back. Your heart needs you to save it. Proof the proofs wrong.
Be alive, not dead.

On another note, I hope & pray the climate all over the world will calm down and be healed... most important of all, let's not wait / depend on leaders of the world to decide on measures of saving the Earth.
Although they may be the million dollar note, but when all coins gather together, that dollar's gonna be buried and perhaps we'll finally see real change & improvements to Mother Earth...
My poem to the earth people
The sight of Jews massacred comes to mind ...
Mother Earth is now inside...
We torture & labor and robbed from her...
We poison ourselves when we poison her!
How is she suppose to be,
When tons & millions have abandoned she?
I wish I can strip off the ties of lies
You meet, you speak not of your crimes
You trial her for all your fake deep greens
Your sickness infects her acts to bring
Won't you convulse when you are down
So don't blame God when you're that foul!
One day you'll see that all you do
Is stripping foundations for your extra room.
You won't be happy, instead you'll lose
All that is really precious to you.
~Gemia Foo
I hope you'll protect her while you can...as much as we can...she's too important to be lost.

Lately~~
2009-11-14 2:16AM / 標準BLOG
It's been awhile since I last blog...
Gosh I have so so many things to tell but so little time.
But I must say I want to put a full stop and enjoy the journey...with what ever the tides may bring. Many times I live my life with sentences that just go on and on and on and on and....there is just no full stop till that chapter of my life is all written and done...
I want to slow down a little and feel... everything. All the good, bad, ugly and beautiful... I don't want to rush through life...just wanting to get there... to the destination, the goal, the vision, the dream... and then look back and go... hmmm... I wish I was happier, cos that was awesome! Why did I worry so much? Why was I so afraid? Why didn't I know what I had?
It's time to smell the roses. Or just look at the bud of it :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been busy with I Theatre's Duck and Dive :)
Barely 2 weeks of rest after Little Green Frog with the same company, I have come on board again~~ but this time round, I am learning something different - Puppetry.
It seems like an easy thing, seem like something simple and anyone can do it... that's what a lot of people think.
I have learned so much through rehearsals ~ watching the master do his work and also watching live insects/animals...the way they move and behave. I feel that it is one thing for the puppet to look alive...it's another thing to give a character to it. And also characters when you're holding 2 puppets in your hands. Lol. Feels a little like schizo. But I must say it is real fun when the audience response to it.
I am really privileged to be working with Paul Pistore the Puppet Master. He has been doing this for years and has done puppetry for Men in Black II, Batman movies, Alien: Resurrection, just to name a few.
He's really fun to work with and has so many stories and experiences to tell! I have learned so much from him and I'm glad. You know I always thought those aliens in Men in Black are just... there...lol... but there are so much work to it and making them come alive ~ with interesting characteristics ~ it just amazes me. Sometimes I look past the simplest thing ! But I guess that also mean the puppeteers are really awesome in giving them life, so intriguing and interesting that it becomes - like one of us - just real.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are 3 puppeteers in Duck and Dive~~ I play the mayflies, butterfly, swan, tiny bugs, a feather, a fireball and sometimes the spider. I can feel my arms are getting more toned~~ lol~~ Come see the show and you'll know why.
Artists from Mediacorp who came and watched gave awesome reviews~~ in fact everyone who have watched our show for the past 2 wks has been giving great reviews. :) I feel glad~~
I must say it's a touching story... one that will never grow old... one which the world still struggles on - acceptance.
When will we learn?
