• Packing my bags with excitement (and a bit of worry)...

  In less than 24 hours, I'll be sitting on a plane. Tomorrow marks the start of my 16-day journey through Jordan and Egypt with a group of friends.
  
  I'm really excited about going, it's definitely one of those "once-in-a-lifetime" trips. I'm looking forward to the entire experience, which will include camping in the desert, camel-riding, cruising down the Nile River, and of course taking photos of the beautiful site of Petra (where Indiana Jones was filmed) and of the ancient Pyramids and Sphinx!!
  
  On the downside, I have to admit that I'm a little worried about our safety given the history of terrorist attacks against tourists in Egypt...   I think this is going to be a stressful trip, where I'll enjoy the trip but in the back of my mind I'll be a little nervous until we're safely back in HK... So then why are we putting ourselves through this? I suppose there's always going to be a risk with traveling to certain countries, and we all really want to make it out there to see the sights while we have the opportunity to, so we're going... and I feel slightly better traveling with a group of friends (I know, it's a psychological thing for me... comfort and safety in numbers). A few friends who've visited Egypt and/or Jordan already have all claimed it was one of their best trips ever... so you can see how tempting it is to go and experience it for ourselves!
  
  Anyways, I doubt I'll be able to connect while on the road, so if not, I'll see you all online in about two and a half weeks...  :)
