Jae-Ho was born in Korea, and grew up in Seattle, Seoul, Virginia, and New Jersey. For his BFA he attended the Rhode Island School of Design where he studied Film/Video/Animation.
At the moment Chang is completing his final year of studies in the graduate film program at New York University. In 2005 he was nominated for the IDA/David L. Wolper Student Documentary Achievement Award for his documentary "Love to Hate, Hate to Love". Chang is also a recipient of the Martin Scorsese Young Filmmakers Scholarship and the Ang Lee Scholarship Award. In 2007 his film 'The Last Vacation' was awarded the Craft Award for Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Acting, and was selected as a Wasserman Finalist at New York University’s First Run Film Festival.
Currently he is co-directing a feature-length documentary entitled ‘Ultimate Christian Wrestling’, which was awarded Honorable Mention at the 2007 Tribeca All-Access Creative Promise Awards.
Jae-Ho lives in Manhattan with his cat H. Schmoozer.
