Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Regarding my previous blog below, I don’t really intend to post anything about religion since I don't want to encounter ignorant comments, but I do have my heart for the Muslim world, I also think this might be a good eye opener, to hear their voice, & somehow a good way to understand them truly.

I finished my college in a Catholic school where we have subject on Christianity that even requires non –Christians to attend, but as years passed, they added Islamic studies on their subjects, but only for Muslim students. So, is that a good thing? No..

How can one understand one distinct person to another w/out further education or knowledge about them? Why can't all students be required to take this subject?

In our school, some people there thinks that Muslim women have no freedom at all. Some even has this perception that Muslims are their enemies in religion, that they despise Jesus. That’s all they know about them.

But do they know that Islam recognizes equal rights between men & women? That there’s no gender specified when it comes to rights? All are equal in the eyes of God. Do they also know that the veiling of a woman is a sign of her humility, respect & modesty? Do they even know that Muslims must respect other religions; Christians, Jews; for they recognize their belief in one God? Do they also have any idea who Jesus is in the Qur'an? Jesus is said to be one of the most loved messenger of God. As you can see, there are curriculum on religions, particularly Christianity, but why should it be rare for Islamic studies?

Of all these double standards & nonsense conflicts we had on religion & race, I realize these are consequences of plain ignorance. It’s just too easy for some people to judge one another w/out even knowing a little about each other. They rather believe on what they want to believe & ignoring facts that may answer their doubts & that may ease disagreements.

But even if w/out education, as human beings we have this so – called “common sense”, so why do others generalize Muslims to the extremists or terrorists. I mean, how in the world can a religion, be it Christianity, Islam, etc. be encouraging violence?!

Take a clear look on what this stupid US–led war in Iraq has resulted to. It not only shattered & faded a city, but it affected the whole world. There’s no peace at all. It also led to a large discrimination amongst religions! & Instead of preventing terrorism, it only has multiplied it. There are terrorists or terrorist groups popping here & there. And sad to say, these terrorists are using their religion & the name of God to justify their evil deeds.

Lives, home, families, dream, freedom, hope; including the soldiers who’ve lost their lives there; all these were taken away from them, for what?! For years, I still can’t find any coherent answer that will justify the deaths, fear, anguish that these people have experienced & still experiencing.

If you’re wise or humane enough you’ll know from the start that leading & creating war is undeniably foolish & malevolent! Even a child can discern that! Do they even  consider if there’s any victory through this? If they have conscience, they'll know they’ve already lost for all the damages & hurt they have caused & done, for all the lives taken away; these are inimitable, they can never replace it. Do their cries ever haunt them?

I'm also addressing this to these terrorists who have no hearts & soul. They seem to be possessed by thousands of evil entities that they don’t even think right anymore.

Do they ever fear God? or have they ever thought how worse is it in hell than any of the wars & terrorism they've created? It's way beyond Worst!

I just want to make it clear again,  that any terrorist or criminal that claims himself to be a Muslim, Christian, or Jew should not be at any manner be consider as such. There is no religion that promotes evil. These terrorists are abusing & taking advantage of their faith, & deceiving people by doing wicked & very sinful or iniquitous deeds in contradiction to the true meaning & doctrines of their religion, particularly Islam. Islam means peace; submission of one's self to the will of Allah (Arabic term for GOD).

So, why would anyone who takes innocent lives be recognize as a Muslim? Did God allowed us to kill? Come to think of it WE, regardless of religions, all believe in ONE GOD. We MUST NOT generalize Muslims w/ the terrorists, they're also victims.  Victims of unjust treatment, discrimination, false judgments.

These terrorists & war leaders are criminals and deserve to be punished by the law of man & the law of GOD. God knows what their punishment will be.

They're all the same, Murderers. Their infamy is so grotesque. Such pathetic & selfish people. May God forgive & have mercy on them. I hope they’ll repent for their sins.

"Whosoever killeth a human being..... it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whose saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind."

    (The Holy Qur'an, 5:32)

But in the end, I do hope people will learn how to see & accept each & every individual as a person, a person as we all are, regardless of race & religion.

There's a difference between following a religion, and living a religion. Most people only 'follow' a religion. They do not truly experience it. They do not apply the teachings to make the world a better place, to live in peace with their neighbour, who is also their brother. It is not religion which is the issue, it is the people's ego, on both sides which is causing this. Some people have too much pride. So much that they cannot forgive. So much that they cannot forget what others have done unto them. If people could stop looking at differences but see similarity in each other; if they could stop differentiating colour but see its vibrancy; start loving people and stop worshipping money; and appreciate the different cultures of the world as all part of one big family - the world would be a different place. Brought up as a Christian, then Buddhist and now Christian Buddhist I see no differences in the world, but only one world that is only connected by one common thread, which is love. To me all the prophets are the same. To me all the teachings are the same. Lord Jesus Christ. Lord Indra. Prophet Mohammed. Jade Emperor. They are different takes on the one and same being, who has shown us a path on how to create heaven on earth. It just depends who will heed their guidance with love.

God is not an angry being. It is Man who is angry. Man who creates power through portraying the fear of God - that he is fearful and not to be questioned. Once people realise God is completely the opposite of what has been negatively portrayed, that He created this universe out of love, for us to explore and enjoy they will also see the true nature of God all around them, even within themselves.

Without love this world simply cannot operate, let alone exist, so it is important for us to practice love often and remember it. Let us remember our love for each other today so that others in future may do the same.

Really hope there will be no discremination on religion, races, nationality and so many!  In Japan, more than 95percent are buddhist and I feel we have lack in religoin studies of others...religion should be one which make us peace always...should not be treated as a reason of discremination..

Yes it's just very unfair and the issue needs to be addressed, if we segregate at school and colleges, then what hope do we have to learn and respect others belief's as we get older. We can only hope for change

Yes people in the world have to realize that it is individuals who commit  these evil crimes and not the entire race or religion they are associated with...

Oh, you are so right Naomi. We have many Muslim residents here, & even if we have Muslim holidays, they don’t recognize the most important parts of their practice. Like they have to pray 5 times a day, but then there’s no way in our schedule where they could have intervals for their prayers even for a few minutes or even a prayer room for them.
Also in Ramadhan where they have to fast until 6 pm, we still have classes during that hour, how can they even eat? & they’re not even allowed to be late, well, for some lenient teachers, they can.
On our graduation, our administrator has even asked the Muslim women to remove their veils on the commemoration, while the Nun-students have kept theirs. So, see how unfair these are for them?

When I was at school we learn't about all religions and it was good, our religious studies was not just focused on my faith of Christianity, and I appreciated learning of others. If we were all taught of other beliefs at school perhaps ignorant people would be a thing of the past.

A young Jewish girl at my friends high school had her holidays counted as Absent without pemission days. 'She said it was unfair, as those were her important festivals just like the Christians had holidays at Easter, Christmas and New Year.'.......and she is right our schools close at Christian festivals but not for any others.

The only terrorist in this world is the one that insists on war. What Bush and Blair did in Iraq has little difference to What Hitler did so many years ago.

Maybe it's me but I don't understand how and why a difference in beliefs/religion should spark war and terrorism of this magnitude. It will be a great day if peace and tolerance can ever come about.

People like to generalize about things and don't even bother to learn about other religions and cultures. It's a sad thing.

I agree that both the warmongers and the terrorists are the same, just operating according to different rules of fighting. There is a way to operate together as a human race, but no one seems able to figure it out, and even then people will fight over who has the right to do so. I had a strange dream the other night. I was in a giant amusement park, and one of the buildings inside was like a haunted house called Iraq... Everything inside was a mess, and people kept saying that once you went inside  it was hard to leave, but when we went inside we walked around and walked right out and then we thought, what the hell? It's not hard to leave at all. Also, it was actually pretty empty inside and aside from ruins, there wasn't much going on.
...It was a really strange dream b/c I admit that in my waking life I haven't been reading about the war lately.
