Franco Zeffirelli’s Romeo & Juliet..

starring Olivia Hussey & Leonard Whiting..

This adaptation is without a doubt the best. As if it was made for perfection.

It simply brought to life Shakespeare’s novel of a tragic & yet immortal love story of Romeo & Juliet.

Every poignant moment in this film stays with you until the end.

Much more with Nino Rota’s poetically beautiful musical score that has given an undying memory of emotions felt in this movie.

Every tear, regret, love & sorrow were brilliantly capture in each performance of the casts & the music.

It's truly a classic, I can’t even recall how many times I have seen this movie since I was six up to this age.

Here's my most favorite in the soundtrack, it's the version of the Catholic song

“Ave Maris Stella” which was sang at the funeral of Juliet.

but the film TITANIC introduce Leonardo DiCaprio to the whole world successfully.I only watch three films that he act.

RenRen, yeah, most people I know have seen this film during their English class.
Our teacher in high school borrowed this film from us for our film showing, & every student at our class loved this version.

The boys particularly were enthralled w/ Olivia’s beauty, just like how Romeo felt in the story.

Crane, are you referring on the version w/ Leonardo DiCaprio on it?
I hate that film.
Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation sucks. The script, the setting, everything. I don’t even know why they chose Claire Danes as Juliet when she looks so ordinary.

I agree with you! This one's a classic. And yes, Olivia Hussey is BEAUTIFUL!!! Ever since I was a child, I thought she was one of the most beautiful ppl! :)

I remember I watched this version of "Romeo & Juliet" during my freshmen year of high school.
