  • Quinn Johnson's Singapore Tourism Board Video Clip

    I really liked the video clip that Quinn Johnson did for the Singapore Tourism Board, so I decided to find out more background information about it.

    Apparently, "Location Singapore" was produced for the Singapore Media Development Authority's Media Service portfolio, and it was shown at MIPTV 08 in Cannes, France.

    MIPTV is an annual event that takes place in Cannes, France and it is an international marketplace for financing, co-producing, buying and selling entertainment across all platforms. Apparently, it provides its participants with more contact in the entertainment content business, more exposure, and a wider range of distribution platforms than any other industry event anywhere in the world.

    MIPTV 08 in particular had 13,360 participants, including 4,551 companies and 4,422 buyers from 111 countries, so this is pretty much a major event, and Quinn's video clip was shown at this event. The next MIPTV event takes place from 30 Mar to 03 Apr 2009 in Cannes, France.

    So Quinn, not bad dude... you've been seen in Cannes already... LOL! :-)

    "Location Singapore" was produced in Singapore by Jay Yao Photography, directed and written by Jordan K. See and narrated by Joe Murray.

    Since some people have indicated an interest in the voiceover for Quinn's video clip, here's more information on the man who did the voiceover.

    Originally from the USA, Joe Murray has been a permanent resident in Singapore since 2001. He is a freelance voice artist based in Singapore and a partner in Studio Bizzaro Pte Ltd (a producer of entertainment content for TV and film). It was his character voicing that got him recognised as one of the most versatile English voice talents in Asia. He has worked with Disney, AXN, MGM, Nickelodeon and HBO Channels.

    Joe has done voice work for commercials, corporate videos, and documentaries. In 2005, Joe narrated 2 documentaries for National Geographic, "Gerbil Plague" and the award-winning "Megastructures" episode entitled "Singapore, The World's Busiest Port".

    Joe has also played leading characters in several Japanese anime series dubbed into English, as well as played animal characters in the Raintree Productions 3D animated feature film, "Sing To The Dawn".
