Sensing a theme goin' on here...

Do you ever have times in your life, when it feels like some higher power is trying to communicate with you, maybe trying to tell you something, but it's just that maybe you're a bit dense and not quite getting the full picture just yet??

Well, I'm feeling that way lately.

Recently, I've been a bit emo and lots grateful to have my friends and family all around me, being like my little personal support group of sorts... and I dedicated the song "Hand In Hand" to them.

Well today, I open my gmail, and guess what? I read this from a newsletter that I get regularly from an artist in the USA called Todd Herzog, it says...

"Life is not meant to be lived alone. It is the people who surround us who provide meaning and shelter for us even at the darkest of times. My wish for all of you is that you are able to let those people in when you need them, and that you are able to provide that same love and support for the ones closest to you."

All this stuff about having others around you and not being alone seems to be surrounding me these days.

This weekend, I've been invited to a friend's place, everyone I know is gonna be there too, and we are just gonna hang and chill out... I'm lookin' forward to it... I love these guys, and I haven't seen them in awhile. Will be nice to re-connect.

Oh yeah, and I'm doin' my hair this weekend too... hopin' for a drastic change... erm ok, maybe not THAT drastic... but well, different enough to be noticeable. I am a little tired of what I've got goin' on above the neck at the moment... it's gotten a little messy, it's a little tired and overgrown, and it's time for a refreshing change.

But right now, let me keep this entry short and sweet, and just sign off here, so I can watch "Hellboy" on VCD... oh yeah, and one of my galfrens is back from UMich for the holidays, so I've gotta go "entertain" the little lady now... haha! Ta-ta and cheerios!

A real person, a woman of substance, a loyal friend, a hopeless romantic, articulate, intelligent, genuine, approachable, friendly, warm, easy to get along with, fun-loving, loves to laugh, loves to party and have a good time, enjoys spending time with friends and loved ones, relishes good conversations, enjoys Japanese and Italian food, definitely a coffee person, patient & understanding, passionate yet calm, with a wicked sense of humour when the fancy strikes me, a traveller, a dreamer, a lifelong learner, a free spirit, a person who admires real talent, is addicted to concerts and movie premieres, hates being mistaken for a doormat, and loves to be lookin' good n feelin' great! :)

I'm a Nonya (Peranakan lady) with a mixture of Hakka and Peranakan Teochew on my Dad's side of the family, and Peranakan Hokkiens on my Mom's side of the family, and I'm proud of my rather unique heritage.

I've been told that my talents lie in writing, music & interpersonal relations... I can get along with most people, and my friends have always been an eclectic mix of folks... I believe that it is key to have respect for others, and to be mindful of yourself.

Being born in the Year Of The Rabbit, I like harmony, living in harmony with others, and being in harmonious situations.

But also being a Leo, it doesn't mean that I don't have fangs and claws.

Other than an intense passion for music, and an appreciation for all kinds of arts in general... I love Star Wars!!!
