I just got back from the Hells Bananas Gang Biker Bar Blowout in Shanghai.
Shit was crazy. It's been mad fun, and we had Shanghai's premier nightlife photographer
Charlie Xia take pictures of the night, to be online soon.

I'll have to hold y'all back for a while until I can post the pic gallery.

So meanwhile, I have a treat of another kind for y'all. While shopping for bandanas, leather vests/gloves and sunglasses for the Biker Bar Blowout, I managed to gather a nice lil' collection of pics with counterfit sneakers and other hilariousities at one of Shanghai's countless street markets.

jeez, how the hell do they pass production when mass producing?! or is it that they HAVE to have it NOT exactly like the originals (i.e adidas and nike) cos of copyright infringement...you know, how they say 'as long as it's not the same, you're not copying but just inspired by them' crap...or however you wanna blag it, hahahha....

the other typos like 'phtot' are simply inexcusable...hahahahaha....

Hailing from Germany and currently residing in Hong Kong, Kid Fresh is already known as one of the key tastemakers in Southern Asia’s club circuit. As the co-creator of the event series/DJ collective PIMPIN’ AIN’T EASY, and mastermind/organizer/promoter/resident DJ behind the event series HYPE NASTY at Hong Kong’s superclub VOLAR, his monthly night got voted Hong Kong’s best new club night of the year by Time Out magazine in 2009.

Kid Fresh raised his first monument in 2003 as the first DJ since David Fascher (1991) to win a solo world champion title for Germany. Between 2001 and 2004, he scored 3 worldwide and 5 national DMC/ITF DJ champion titles, and is known for being the first member and mastermind behind one of the world’s most successful turntablist crews, LORDZ OF FITNESS, as well as for being one of the mentors (alongside DJ Q-Bert) of world record turntablist and 2007 DMC world champion DJ Rafik.

Already a professional DJ since the late nineties, Kid Fresh fully shifted his emphasis from turntablism to club-DJing in the mid-naughties. Contributing bootleg-remixes of Busta Rhymes, The White Stripes and M.I.A. as well as legendary mixtapes to some of the world’s biggest indie music blogs and web radio stations during the first steps of the web 2.0 era quickly helped spreading his name all over the globe to launch his post-turntablist-career.

Jetting back and forth between Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, New York, Los Angeles, Paris, London, Bangkok and Berlin, Kid Fresh has shared bills and stages with the likes of Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Phil Fuldner, Beyonce, Lil Jon, Steve Aoki, Steed Lord, AC Slater, Craze, A-Trak, Klever, Sinden, Hot Chip and Ratatat, to name a few. His musical style is eclectic and versatile, fusing the entire spectrum of contemporary dance music with timeless classics of every imaginable genre, while being able to read and move any type of crowd with ease. Combined with the technical abilities, finesse, experience and showmanship of a world champion turntablist, Kid Fresh’s signature style on two turntables remains untouched by most of today’s A-list club DJs.
