I'm not going to keep the results secret so let's start with that.

    Hip Hop

    Final: Dy & Steve (France) Vs Maika (10 y.o.) & Kazame (12 y.o.) (Japan)
Winner: Dy & Steve (But that deserves more than that, so stay tuned for details)

    Locking

Final: Shuffle (Japan) Vs Teddy Bear & Yo da Lock (Sweden)
    Winner: shuffle

    House

Final: Og & adnan (Germany) Vs House Dance Project (Shuho & Hideki, Japan)
    Winner:  Og & adnan

    Popping

Kite & Fishboy (Japan) Vs Co-thkoo (Gucchon & Key, Japan)
    Winner: Kite & Fishboy

    Expiremental

Note:As most of you are probably unfamiliar with Expiremental. here's a little (and not 100% full proof) explanation. Basically, just puts any kind of song it can be really any style not only hip hop and dancer must give his interpretation of the music for 1 minute. No battle just 1 minute each.
    Winner: Nico

    ************************************************************************************************
Now that the result part is done let's start with explanation of the whole day (I'll cut this into many entries as it might be long but it's worth being complete)

Yesterday (Sunday march 1st), I  left Brussels for Paris at around 9am. Arriving in Paris around 10:30 then went to do my youth hostel check)in (as I was expecting, I ended up only eating breakfast there though. But how can you find an hotel a 2am if you leave the party because you feel too tired?)

I made my way to the Palais Omnisport de Paris Bercy (in the center of Paris).
I put myself into the line. Looking for known faces. I ended up finding one of my house teachers and a girl I knew. They were travelling with a group of 40 Belgian dancers.

After waiting in the line for about 2 hours (especially becvause they were searching every single bag as cameras & drinks were forbidden).

Th battle started about 40 minutes late but despite the more 10000 people in the audience we managed to find some pretty good ones (that serves to come 2 hours earlier).

To give you an idea of what it looked like (the picture has been taken after last subway so there were already far less people, and that break was actually the only time everyone went on the stage). As I said above no camera allowed (well compact were allowed in but I didn't know and any way usage was still forbidden once aimed at the stage), so I took it with my phone.

For now I'm only going to speak about the hip hop competition.

    Hip Hop competition
This is once again the competition were totally unknown competitors emerged.
Coming from saturday's qualifiers (the most difficult but only one with more than 1 spot) was a crew of 2 really young Japanese girls. Their first battle was against another Japanese crew. And those two small kids just showed everyone some crazy combination (especially one) that fitted really were perfectly on the beat variation. From then on they got the favor of the public and were cheared for any really good combination. They are probably not technically at their senior's level (perfect logic given most of those were dancing before they were even born) but their sense of the beat and the responses to others moves were pretty good.
Then the final came and first ended in a tie. Usually, then, it's the judge's for that style that has the priority except if the he thinks it's too close to decide. That was the case this time. So each team got 1 more minute which ended in Dy & Steve though most of the audience manifested that they though that the kids should have won.
Anyway those 2 are unbelievebly good, and if they go on like that I'm curious to see what they can attain in the future because they're already second place at 1 of the most renowned dance batle in the world (if not the most as far as hip hop is concerned).
Besides that, 2 other facts. First, most people believed that Diablo & Chucky from France should have won their quarter final and after the elimination of last year's winner a fight started (EDIT: seems like it was between 2 dancers not involved in that round). That brought the main organizer, Bruce 'Ykanji', to say that if people started to have that kind of behaviour he would consider stopping this event.

Ok that's enough for now, a lot more to come but it's long enough and I still haven't slept so my ideas are not that clear.

    2 pictures though
first is a blurry Salah (yes, the one from last entry, at the after party)

Second, is me and Dance Fusion's Shan S (basically one of the originator of house dance).
Who turns out to be our girl StyleRene's house teacher.
