I'm off to Singapore on Tuesday!
I've been in transit before at Changi airport, but that doesn't really count!

There should be some time for us to go shopping. Does anybody have some suggestions for where to go for good food and where we should go to shop for clothing and gifts? I'm looking for stuff that they don't really sell in China... Which will be hard, haha! Number one on my to do list is: eat LAKSA!!!

I'm really looking forward to go there as people have told me that there's lots to see, but also very clean and organised which is probably the opposite compared to Shanghai! It's superhot in Shanghai at the moment, around 35 degrees Celcius, so I'm already used to the heat.

I like going Clarke Quay. There are a lot of tourist and stuff but it's really pretty there at night. There are a bunch of bars, restaurants, and shops located along the side of the river (I don't know which river though..didn't get the details). In addition to laksa...I think you should Hainan chicken too.

cool- i was just there in march to visit my fiance who's studying his MBA at Insead there! (also going to visit in december)...
don't remember where i had laksa but it (they) were GOOD!!! shopping along orchard road (ngee ahn city)... i also liked VIVOCITY (a mall with a rockin' "gold class" theatre where each person gets their own lazy-boy recliners and "butler" service PLUS a VERY VERY cool food court on the top floor)... have lunch at sentosa... if you like animals/ zoo, consider the "night safari"... have fun!!!

oh! and one more thing... Should you are prone to have skin allergies, please NOT try henna tattoo... cos' not sure if you will be sensitive to the herbal stuffs used.. which is usually suitable for most people...

if you are the adventurous sort.. try out local delicacies @ food stalls of hawker centres... foods - ie: satay (malay), roti prata (indian), 咖喱鱼头 / curry fish head (indian), 炒粿条 (chinese), 椰浆饭 / nasi lemak (malay), 黄姜饭 / nasi bryani (indian), 啰口惹 / rojak, 擂茶 (chinese) or nonya/ peranakan foods.. will post some links for your reference shortly...

Born and raised in the Netherlands, Li-Tong holds a BA in the fields of Musical Theatre, Voice, Acting and Dance at the Conservatory of Rotterdam.

Making her debut as one of the original cast in the 1st UK-tour of the musical “THE KING & I”, she has also appeared as an international lead vocalist in the "Musical Moments" concerts, performing in Hong Kong and Beijing. She played the role of GIGI and understudied the roles of KIM and ELLEN in the Dutch production of "MISS SAIGON".

Apart from singing, Li-Tong has acted in several feature films such as "Kung Fu Killer" starring David Carradine and "Distance Runners". She has hosted various TV programs like "ADVENTURE GIRLS" 《丽险记》 which was shot all over Asia, "Shanghai A to Z" 《上海攻略》, "Expo 360" and "Inside Shanghai"
