Opening of "When Rick Met Marsha" TONIGHT!

Today is our opening for "When Rick Met Marsha" and I'm feeling pretty good. I got some preparations out of the way, got my workout and now I'm having my congee as I write this blog. Every so often, I get these stomach pains caused by stress. Here they call it "Wai Tong". I remember getting these pains when I was a rhythmic gymnast btw the age of 10-15. I used to get these familiar pains right before competition. I don't get it every time before a show. For instance, when we were performing in front of 1000 people in LA, I did not get it for "I, Ching". Go figure! Why why why??? this time? Who knows....but, I guess, Rick and I put a lot of work into this show and we hope that it will be fun for everyone. The good news is, I think a lost a little weight through it all and my stomach has never been so flat....that of course, probably won't last long with the holidays coming up...hahaha....

What's next? I'm going to take a little nap, get things ready and together, get my hair and make up done, pick up stuff from home and head over to the Fringe club to warm up and prepare for the show. A reminder to those who are coming....the show starts at 8:30pm!!! We will start on time! The entrance of the Cabaret Theatre @ HK Fringe Club is on the side of the building!!!

As far as I know, there is 1 ticket left tonight and 1 ticket left on Sat night...ALL SOLD OUT!!!! YAY!!!

Marsha is truly a unique and talented artist. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and studied musical theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Manhattan, New York. While attending AMDA, she trained in singing, acting, and various types of dance including jazz, tap, and ballet. After graduation, Marsha decided to pursue her career in Hong Kong. She began as a model for Elite Modeling Agency. Then, when she unexpectedly entered in the 1999 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, she received 1st runner-up and continued on to represent Hong Kong and China in the 1999 Miss World Pageant in London. Marsha’s acting career began with the hit TVB sitcom “War of the Genders”. Her character in the sitcom brought her recognition throughout Hong Kong and parts of China. After working for TVB for 1 year, she decided to venture outside of Television and start working in film.

Marsha began her film career in action and martial arts movies for which she had to undergo rigorous training. The hard work paid off as she is now known for her martial arts abilities and it has become one of her many strengths. Marsha also starred in the legendary comedy “Men Suddenly in Black” as well as its sequel. “Men Suddenly in Black 2” has become a box office hit in Hong Kong and her performance in this film has been well received by viewers.

Over the last few years, Marsha has focused her career on live performances in music and dance. She has participated in many musicals in Hong Kong including “Sound of Music”, “Annie”, “Hong Kong Nocturne” and “Musical Moments”. And internationally, she was invited to perform in the “Andrew Lloyd Webber Gala” in Estonia along with top vocalists from New York, London, Norway, and Germany. She released her own album in 2006 and has been in the live jazz music scene ever since.
