• Late update on Japan-Tokyo

  Hey Gorgeous People,
  
  I am alive. :)
  
  This update is kind of late, I know.
  
  Well my schedule has been so packed and it barely gives me enough time to sleep. Well that’s because I need at least 10 hrs of sleep everyday. ZZZ…zzz…
  
  If I have more time or If I can clone another Mindee.
  Then the real Mindee can stay home to sleep.
  Of course not! There’s only room for one Mindee.
  
  The truth is, I have been very busy with 12 Lotus promo publicity and also my new business venture. Will update you guys on both shortly.
  
  Now, Lets talk about 881 in Tokyo.
  
  This visit to Japan is definitely a very meaningful one.
  I understand that not many Singapore films have been screen in Japan and 881 being one of the first few definitely has made us proud.
  
  The Papaya Sister’s (Yann & myself) felt really honored to be invited to Japan to promote 881.
  
  
  

  
  
  We had 17 rounds of interviews with the media from Newspapers, Magazines, Radio and TV during the 3 days stay. We shared almost everything about 881 with the media. Anything from trivial incidents to dampening obstacles we encountered during shoot. Most of them was especially surprised when we told them of the evolvement of 881 was actually over a coffee session between me, Yann and Royston.
  
  
  
  
  
  We can’t speak Japanese. We had Sam our translator that interprets everything we said into Japanese. Just imagine this, he had to repeat our stories for over 17 times. He is probably the only one that knows our stories best.
  
  I am very blessed to be able to work with many nice people. They really took care of us well. Despite, the hectic schedule, they never fail to feed us good food.
  
  
  
  
   
  
  We love good food, who doesn’t! Well, we are not always greedy. Since this is my first visit to Japan and we don’t have much time. I suggested that during one of the lunch break perhaps we should take a walk around Shibuya area.

  I also manage to find time at night to meet up with a dear friend Sharon. Some trivial info to share. Sharon left her acting career and she is currently studying in Tokyo. She hosted the singing competition I took part in and since then we had no opportunities to work together. It was so surreal to meet up with her in Japan. Fates really do brings people together.
  
  There was an unexpected surprise for me too. Thanks to Etchy. I met some friends from AnD during 881 Gala Premiere. JasmineT and Amey. They went to the gala to support and it  really warmth my heart.
