fun times in the Philippines

so i just got back from Manila and Tagaytay for my friends' Sarah and Banjo's wedding. it's been a few years since i was back in the Philippines and it was good to catch up with old friends, make new ones and laugh at the ridiculous goings on and happenings in the Philippines. here are some funny moments captured on film:

OK i admit, maybe these don't seem so funny now but they sure did at 10am when Elroy, Tiso, Scratchmark, Judy and I stopped by 7Eleven to stock up on Redhorse Malt Liquor and Tanduay Rum for the 2 hour ride from Manila to Tagaytay for our friends' wedding ceremony. we did ponder, for a second, whether or not it's appropriate for us to arrive pissed drunk to Church for a wedding ceremony but then realized the happy couple would expect nothing less from any of us. we finished 12 1-liter bottles of Redhorse and a few bottles of Tanduay on the way.

the wedding was one of the most stylish as the happy couple are sneaker heads as are almost all the friends in attendance. in fact, all the groomsmen were all in Nike Air Force Ones and i've never seen so many suits with sneakers in one place. peep it:


i think i was drunk the entire 5 days i was in the Philippines - morning, day and night. in fact, the last night before i left i thought i was going to have a night off drinking, when along comes our new friend Matt with 40 bottles of Redhorse. we even cracked our Lambanog (local coconut moonshine) and drank until 7am when we had to leave for the airport....

and i highly suggest midget boxing at Ringside on Burgos street in Manila for anyone who's visiting on a thursday night.
