Jeanne Hartman Acting Workshop

yo yo!!

so sunday was one of the most fun days iv had in a while - at Jeanne's intro to acting workshop = total blast!!

have to say it was my first time doing anything like that. i have no problem getting up and spitting shit into a mic in front of total strangers but acting... dammn that was just plain HARD folks OMG

yeah ok so it didn't help that i had a brutal double hangover with shakes to boot  lolz, especially after the AnD party but even so it was totally worthwhile :)

had an awesome krew of peeps there, no pretention, no "i'm the man" shit, everyone came with their hearts out and put the work in

we started w/ some fun (if not a little weird) improv exercises and then got into some script work where everyone got to play a variety of characters to test our their limits. I ended up as a priest... (Whaaat haha) and a used car salesman, neither of which i have any experience nor affinity for!

anyway my biggest takeaway was just how truly hard it is to lose yourself in a character and situation you have no knowledge of.. working out the back story, making your decisions on who the character is/has been and fleshing out those experiences based on your own imagination and ability to draw on personal emotions is just D for Mad Difficult!!

massive props to Jeaanne for being a total darling xo. i was at ease the entire time i was there, no matter how nerve racking on occasion and her breadth of knowledge, glorious persona and funny stories made the day!!

also shout it out to Jason Tobin for getting my ass out of bed and forcing me to come. haha jokes bro, i owe you really :D

so if you're in any two minds about going - JUST DO IT! you won't regret it, hell i'd do it again tomorrow so my only request is that Jeanne should come back more often!!
