    Thanksgiving Day as celebrated in the United States, is observed on the fourth Thursday in November, at the end of the harvest season. It is an annual American Federal holiday to express thanks for one's material and spiritual possessions.

    Most people celebrate by gathering at home with family or friends for a holiday feast. The American holiday has religious undertones related to the deliverance of the English settlers by Native Americans after a brutal winter at Plymouth, Massachusetts.

    So, to all my friends who celebrate and those who don't but are aware of it, we give thanks for family, friends, health & home, and pray for peace throughout the world.
