• A dish with meaning??

  Has anyone tried stir fried bittersgourd with salted egg??  I know it might not be anything new to some but it does to me. Sounds like a very weird combination. Never know who came out with this recipe.
   
  My mom had a tough time convincing me to try her new recipe which she claimed she saw this on TV. Well, I had never like bittersgourd & needless to say, this combination sounds so weird & untasty to me at all. She was a little upset cos I did not even bother to try it but well, she never give up! Keep insisting how tasty it is...try it out, you'll sure love it, it's not bitter at all..etc..etc.. Ok, I finally give in & tried. To my surprise, it does taste really good & yes, not bitter at all!!!
   
  Well come to think about it, why should be so reluctant to even give it a try?? Just becos I never like bittersprout? Or just because I was so assured that it'll be that awfully taste? It just kinda reflect what I've been practicing in life too. Sometimes I could be so stubborn for being so used to my own thinking & never think of using someone's idea to adapt to my own. I'm sure there're many of you out there who has the same experience. Too comfortable doing the things in your very own way & it goes pretty well with it, so why change, rite? There are times, friends or family members who might be trying hard to tell us to change for good sake but well, we just listened & then ignored. Perhaps it's time for us to learn to try & see if it works better. You'll never try & you'll never know!!!
   
  Well, I had just made a minor changes in my life this morning, nothing to great. Glad I did cos it works much better!
