  • Chinese opera show...anyone??

    Attended a charity event hosted by my aunt last nite. It's a chinese opera show for the foundation of my aunt's chinese opera association which she has formed for years. It has not being doing too well but she's trying very hard to still keep this association going.

    Honestly, I'm not a fans of chinese opera & even though I've been listening to this since I was a little kid, well kinda forced to do so cos I'll be following my mom to all my aunt's shows back then..  but I do admire my aunt's never-give-up spirit, her love & passion for chinese opera's culture cos it's never easy to maintain this association. It's a non-profitable thing & not to mention, they're not too many younger generation who would appreciate this either. It's much tougher than we can think....but I'm glad there's still people who would support chinese opera. Hmm..perhaps I should start picking up some lessons from my aunt?? ...haha...just kidding.

    Wow, that's really hard to believe Uzial!!! ha.. You definitely don't look like 1! Well, I guess they're people in Msia who are so into chinese opera but majority of them are senior citizen. Fyi, my aunt is approaching some students from some local University, hopefully she gets to influence more people here.

    Believe it or not, I love Chinese opera... Not sure if Malaysian TV stations do this, but in the US, if you call your local station, they can do a special on the association and bring awareness to it.  That way it's easier to raise funds!

    It's one of those things that appeal to a certain few. haha. I hope she received the funds she needs for now.
