• Kung Fu Medallion and Extra fun

  When I first came to Hong Kong in 2007, the first month to find my roots and the second month to volunteer at the IFVA ( Independent Short Film & Video Awards) Film Festival to do basically anything they needed! 
  
  Sometimes I was asked to record and document stuff, or sometimes it was dub DVDs, other times I ate lots of snacks and watch tons of short films! 
  
  Their office was located at the Hong Kong Arts Centre in Wan Chai and it was also where many of the films in the festival were shown!  I knew this theatre well...
  
  This time Julia and I found ourselves watching Kung Fu Medallion the short film directed by Hong Kong Baptist recent graduate Lee Kaho and Starring Gordon Liu!
  
  And to think I went to meet Lee Kaho for a possible role fighting Gordon but ended up with the role of one of his admiring students. 
  
  

  
  Filmmaker Steven Wong and actor Leslie Ho and Ricky were there too!
  
  
  
  

  While filming 'Kung Fu Medallion' I was asked if I could help do some translating back and forth for the confrontation scene between martial artist/actor Steven Dasz from Spain a.k.a. in the movie "The Spanish Bull" and Master Killer Gordon Liu, not that much was needed. 
  
  It was a lot of fun and afterwards Steven said he wanted to make a short trailer...he wanted to call it Reservoir Dragons! 
  
  
  
  He said bring sunglasses and a black suit.  It was fun.
  
  
  
  My friend now turned actor himself Micheal LeCardinal.
  
  
  
  I met Thomas Nguyen, he's originally from France and a kick a** martial artist/actor!  You can see him in Wushu and other projects!
  
  
  
  See...Steven and Thomas plan their fight!  I'll get some action again someday! haha
  
  
  
  Super windy near Bruce Lee's statue but great time!  Steven returned to Spain but I"m pretty sure we'll see him soon.
