  • 30 year old booze

    David Bao, one of the actors I've trained here (for Kinta 1881) in the ways of falling down and getting kicked (and occasionally kicking others) in the face for the almost-all-seeing camera took the action-choreography team out to a very nice dinner a couple of nights ago. 

    What was super rad about this already pretty awesome dinner was that he bought with him a bottle of 30+ years old Martell Blue Label.  I had never drank anything that was stored in a bottle for this long , and I tell you, it was like sipping history.  It was probably the smoothest alcoholic substance I have ever placed down my gullet (not that I'm an alcoholic or anything).

    Other than that, work is work, and being homesick is being homesick.  However, I am gonna miss most of the crew and all of the actors here in Malaysia when the film wraps at the end of the month. 

    Guess I have new friends in Malaysia that I can trouble the next time I'm out here.

    It was smooth like butter left out in the summer sun :)  and thank you to AsianChick100's comment on my dimples, which in reality is a muscle defect (as all dimples are, this is a fact that I'm certain I heard somewhere) ;)  Thank you very much for everyone's comments, reading them always puts a smile on my face (which further enhances my facial defect)  :)

    I love cognac.  That 30 year old Martel must have been a real treat.  I wonder what aging does to make it so smooth?

    Cognac is also the best alcoholic drink ever on a cold winter day warmed up in a snifter.  Except maybe for hot buttered rum.

    I don't know a thing about wine tasting! The fact that you drank something that was stored in a bottle for 30 years is kinda cool!

    Ohh sounds nice, 30 year old martel blue label, sounds classy! Haha, something 30 year old sounds like its gone by it's used by date in terms of food lol.

    Uh yeah...same here, don't drink often but I definitely know how to appreciate alcohol when I have the opportunity to :)..reminds me of the strangest alcohol I had with live snake blood and its gall bladder...in fact you inspired me to put up a blog about it right now!
