• What's Good? Malaysia !!!

  Here's the pics from the funnest trip we've had to KL ever!  It was great being out there for a few days supporting our friends and getting a chance to play around town.  Big thanks to Ben (aka Bad Boy Ben), What's Good? Crew, Eelin, 24 Herbs, Jin, Chris, Eric, Ray, and all the cool peeps we met along the way.  Hopefully we'll be back soon. 
  
  
  
  
  We were in Malaysia 2 months ago for a show at Genting Highlands but this time we got to stay in downtown KL so it was nice to see the towers again.
  
  
  
  The main reason for this trip was to support Ben and the opening of his new What's Good? store in Times Square.  The store carries some dope brands and there's some crazy collabos in the mix so check it out.

  The opening included 24 Herbs, Jin the MC, BBB, and the What's Good? Singapore crew.  It was cool because we just went to the Singapore store and met Ryan and the gang just a few weeks ago.  I'll blog about the Singapore trip soon....
  
  
  
  Fun fact:  I've known Ben since I was 13!  Easily the longest known person in my life.  We used to skate all over Shatin and Tai Wai with our 80's style boards and airwalks!  Good times indeed.
  
  
  
  If they ever open a mini-cupcake shop I'll be the first in line!
  
  
  
  The store opening was just the beginning!  The after party was where everything really got crazy.  You can see more of what went down at BBB, Brian Siswojo (24Herbs), Phat (24Herbs), and Warren's blogs....
  
  
  
  Another good friend of mine Janice was in town for her first concert in KL so we had to make it down and support.  It was a very entertaining show which also included guitar legend and Tai Chi member Joey Tang! 
  
  
  
  Before we did the WG? opening we flew in a few days earlier do to some TV, radio, and press.  The day we got in I was a booked to be a special guest on AstroTV's version of American Idol.  I played my new song and did a few tunes with the contestants but since I woke up at 5am for the flight and didn't play until 11:30pm I had to drink 2 redbulls to make it through.  Needless to say I had trouble sleeping when we finally checked into the hotel after midnight....so tired...
  
  
  
  Our first group dinner! It felt like we were still in HK with so many friends around but the awesome food reminded we were some place special.
  
  
  
  Warren (on my left) took over 1500 pics so watch out.  Actually, I've known him from back when Ben and I first started to skate in form 3.  I think he's the second person I've known the longest.  Craziness!
  
  
  
  We all tore through 24 crabs in no time.  Couldn't stop.....
  
  
  
  Before we left our Malaysian promoter Chris took us out for some Marmite goodness and I had the best sugar cane drink in my life.  Can't wait to get back to KL for sure....
