  • Trailer for Documentary "Wing Chun"

    2012-11-08 12:58AM / 標準BLOG

    Hi everyone,

It's been a very very long time since my last entry, part of the reason for this is that I've been extremely busy making a documentary film called "Wing Chun".

I'll go into more detail about the process of making it in a later blog entry but for now here's some links to the trailer for the film.

First one can be found on youtube:

For Chinese Mainland peeps it can also be found here

The film is being launched in Lingnan Tiandi in Foshan on the 21st of this month. If you're in the neighbourhood drop by for a screening and the chance to get a lesson from the truly awesome Sifu Lui Ming Fai.

Hope you all enjoy, like I said I will go into more detail about the shoot later on so hopefully I'll see you then.

    Best,
    Seamus

  • Linda Chung Music Videos

    Greetings friends,

Apologies for the copyright mix-up on the video linked in my last blog.

Now that the second video I directed for Linda has been released and that both videos are available on a bonus DVD on her album (in shops now!) it seems a good time to do a new blog.

My good friend Alan Wai has blogged about the shoot so I won't go into details here but I will say that Linda was a delight to work with and that I couldn't be happier with the cinematography of my good friend Edwin Lee.

I've also linked to a bonus video that always puts a smile on my face and that cat-lovers may enjoy.

    All the best,
    Seamus

    Hi everyone,

The video's had to be removed due to a copyright mix-up. I'll repost as soon as it's been cleared up.

  • Somebody To Love - Full short film

    2010-09-25 1:11PM / 標準BLOG

    Hello All,

I'm very happy to be finally able to show you all the full short film I made in Hong Kong - "Somebody To Love".

    The film stars Philip Ng,

    Yennis Cheung,

    James Ha,

    And Jayson Li.

I wrote and directed the film and was assisted above and beyond the call of duty by the entire cast and crew. If you are planning on shooting in HK I can heartily recommend each and every one of the them. In particular I will single out department heads Henry Chung (HKSC) who was our DP and Jude Poyer the Action Director who both outdid themselves.

I hope you all enjoy the film, my only request is that you watch the Hi-Definition copy if possible but thanks to Vimeo the non-HD version has my approval for the first time online.

As a last thing before we get down to it I am very happy to let you all know I am back in Hong Kong for the foreseeable future. It's great to be back in the worlds greatest city and with any luck I might run in to some of you all soon.

Without further ado here is the film, all feedback is appreciated but keep the personal insults to PM's ok?

  • Ultraviolence

    2010-06-30 8:11PM / 標準BLOG

    Hello all,

Been a while since my last entry so thought I'd put up something me and some friends have been working on for the last few weeks in our spare time.

These are some (very) short films we made ostensibly to test my friends new camera (Canon 5D mkii) but they took on a life of their own and became what you will see below.

They are NOT for the faint of heart as they are quite violent so you have been warned. I suspect you may have to know us personally to fully get the joke and particularly the first video is over before it begins but the handful of comments we've gotten on vimeo suggests general viewers may get something out of it too.

They're on vimeo which is not supported like youtube is on this site but they should link straight away. We have a few more in the can so if you like these let me know, I'm going to put up the other ones anyway but it's good for my ego.

It's been brought to my attention that some people might have trouble playing them if you do try switching off the HD settings on the video. If that doesn't work - well you're pretty screwed I guess....

    Enjoy!
