Big Band Jazz/R&B/Funk Artist Shairah (pronounced Shy-EE-rah) was born in London, UK moving to Vancouver, Canada shortly after. Being of Malaysian, Egyptian and Portuguese decent inspired her to release Music in Asia landing her a #1 Hit Single in South-Asia & charting throughout Europe. Shairah will perform at Shanghai Expo 2010 & will be Touring Asia 2009 starting in Tokyo, Japan. Hi All!!

Just got these Pics back and thought I'd give you an inside peek at me in the Studio. Lots of hard work goes into making a Record (and watching Anime and playing Playstation 2 and my DS in between!) My journey is a bit different than various other Artists since I also Songwrite, Compose and Produce. When I'm suppose to take a break as a Recording Artist, I am required to put on my Producer Hat. When the Producer takes a break it's time for the Songwriter/Composer to get creative. That's me again, you get the idea. No sleep for me! You can see my face in the 3rd picture where I fell asleep playing Playstation 2 and was woken up. Hahaha. Don't get me wrong there are many other People involved with a variety of my upcoming songs as well as Producers, etc. and of course, I LOVE what I do!! :) It's all for the Fans and that moment on Stage when I can share with the World! Though in until then, thank God for Anime! It's the rare time I'm not working. TV shows usually doesn't hold my attention span (I'm a Movie Lover) but Anime sure does ;) I'm really excited for this next album and I do hope you enjoy it!

in my works with artists, i've learned that microphones make a huge difference. Low quality microphones can distort your voice.

Shairah is an Big Band Jazz / R&B / Funk Artist who’s infectious vocals captivate her audience. This contagiously talented female is not only a songstress. Shairah is an accredited songwriter, composer, producer and founder of Lyrical Mistress Entertainment. Shairah’s enticing new album entitled, "Search For Something Real..." shines through as an illustrious accomplishment.

Though Shairah's nationality is Arabian, Egyptian, Malaysian with a hint of Portuguese, she was born in London, England. She moved to Vancouver, Canada at the age of two. From shining in elementary school choirs to selling out concerts around the world, Shairah has always gained the publics attention.

Shairah’s vocal influences include Mariah Carey, Sade, Aaliyah, Sarah Vaughn, Frank Sinatra the list goes on. She absorbs techniques quickly and puts them to use in her own vocal style. Shairah sings harmonies and melodies effortlessly, crossing and blending genres with ease, strength, and with a passion that breathes life into her provocative lyrics.
