Before I went to Auckland, I started to get a cold. Nothing too major, just a constant runny nose. That carried on throughout the trip, but didn't affect me too much, other than having to blow my nose constantly. And I didn't have to do that very often while the course was on. Last week at work was pretty much the same. Constant runny nose, but nothing too major.

On Sunday, as is usual, I got tired while riding home after church, and fell asleep on my bed as soon as I got home. I woke up with a headache, a sore soft palate, slightly nauseous and a very hot body (although, strangely, my forehead felt normal). So I told my boss I can't come in on Monday. I felt a lot better on Monday, although I still had a slight headache and my soft palate was still rather sore.

Anyways, my soft palate is still sore right now, making it a little hard to swallow and extremely painful when I yawn. Fortunately, I'm not yawning as often as I normally do, but when I feel it coming on, I'm dreading it.

And I've still got my runny nose.

On a completely different note, our bus drivers are striking. They do it every few years, I guess. Apparently they had a strike around lunchtime on Monday. They did another one this morning from 7:30am-8:30am - the busiest time of the morning. Not sure how everyone dealt with that. Didn't seem to be too many late comers. Although, our communications department sent us a warning yesterday about it. I catch the train, not the bus, so I wasn't affected. If I was, I would have totally forgotten about it, and panicked when I got to the bus stop. I always tend to forget these things. The news this morning is that "[t]he dispute escalated further last night, with Go Wellington moving to lock out its drivers, meaning the company's 222 buses will be off the road indefinitely from tomorrow morning." (Dominion Post)

KFC for dinner tonight - yum!!!!

Ms PA-next-to-me is annoying me again (when is she not?). After asking me how many people were at my teaching English course, she asked "they all Chinese?" WHAT?! I'm sorry, I don't see it. Can someone please explain to me the connection between them, cos I don't see it. Why would my whole class be Chinese?

Thanks! I think the pain in my soft palate has subsided a bit, but I can't remember having yawned this morning, so I've yet to fully confirm that.
