The date from hell

Went out to dinner with my best friend last night. Her friend was having some issues and staying at her place, so she invited her to dinner as well. We went to Lonestar and I got a lovely Honky Tonk Chicken, which was delicious. I was full after the chicken and a couple buffalo chips, so I still had quite a bit on my plate.
The other two did most of the talking. I don't think I was in a talking mood last night.
After dinner, I agreed to go with them for a drink. As soon as my best friend got into the car (her friend was in her own car) she started complaining that she didn't like the place they were going to. Turns out the reason why her friend picked that place was because some others were there. While we were sitting having a chat, one of the guys there read out a text sent my my best friend's friend which said she was having the "date from hell". My best friend was like "what? She was with us!" The guy who read it out was like "whoops! I think I just put her foot in it!" I'm not 100% sure if the other girl heard that her opinion of dinner had just been revealed.
Anyways, then we went to another bar because they wanted to say hi to the manager there, who was a friend. Before we'd left the first bar, a guy there offered everyone a drink, but since we were leaving, he gave my best friend $20 instead. So she gave the money to one of the guys to buy some drinks at the next place. I was semi-forced to have a cocktail. I wouldn't say forced, since I didn't really put up much of a fight. For me, the reason I don't drink is because I find alcohol rather bitter and therefore disgusting, but I was told that I would like cocktails because they're not bitter. So, I thought, why not and gave it a try. It was kinda nice. Slight bad after taste, but only slight, so didn't really notice too much. The manager did tell me what was in it, but I didn't really catch what he said, so have no idea what I drank!
I think the worst part of the night was when they all started to go out for a smoke at the first bar. I can stand my best friend's one, which she rolls herself, but the pre-made cigarettes her friend had smelt foul. I don't know if she was doing it intentionally, but as I slowly continuously backed away from the smoke, she seemed to move closer to where I was originally standing in the circle, so I was being backed out of the circle. It was such a relief when they decided to leave (they kept lighting up again after they'd finished the previous one - although not immediately) for the next bar, cos I could breathe fresh air again. Gosh, they smoke like chimneys!
At the end of the night, I smelt horribly of smoke, so I wasn't too happy about that. I know I wouldn't have had to go through all that if my best friend's friend hadn't joined us, so that sucked. But otherwise, going to dinner with my best friend was awesome, the dinner was delicious, and I did get to enjoy myself, even if it was only for half the night.
Oh yeah. One of the guys asked me how I knew my best friend (we hang out in different circles, so we don't know many of each other's friends, although, I've met a few of hers) and when I told him I've known her since we were babies, he said, "oh, poor girl". Haha.
